Contracts & Procurement Advisor

Role Description

This position exists to support the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) activities of MEPAU, specifically the HSE and Operated Assets groups, but will be required to support other areas of the business from time to time. 

This role will ensure operational obligations are met while identifying and implementing opportunities to improve control processes/outcomes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently and effectively within the end-to-end supply chain processes and systems.
  • Lead development of sourcing strategies in conjunction with stakeholders.
  • Prepare prequalification, tender documents as appropriate.
  • Critique technical scopes for tender packages and ensure they align with commercial contract documentation.
  • Lead negotiations, coordinate tender clarifications and undertake commercial evaluations.
  • Coordinate and lead the bid evaluation and prepare contract award documentation.
  • Draft and conform finalised contracts.
  • Compile regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Post award contract management as appropriate.
  • Undertake corporate Supply Chain functional duties as required.

Requirements / Qualifications / Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within C&P in both pre and post award contract management of procurement and contracting agreements.
  • Ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to make decisions with imprecise set of facts at disposal.   
  • A “can do” attitude and willingness to lead the organisation through the procurement process.
  • Sound organisational skills, including multitasking, time-management and influencing without authority.
  • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and  high attention to detail.
